The Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida offers fun and innovative tours and activities that meet the Sunshine State Standards and select benchmarks for historical inquiry and analysis, historical knowledge, chronological thinking, and beginning economics.
Tours and activities are adapted to meet the specific needs and interests of teachers and students.
In addition, the Museum offers numerous cultural resources to aid in teaching the Social Studies curriculum. Items available through the Museum’s Research Library Archives include books, photographs, newspapers, manuscript documents, obituaries, oral histories, periodicals and maps pertaining to local, regional and state history.
These resources are available to teachers at no charge.
The Museum welcomes and values any ideas or suggestions you may have for creating or improving tours and educational public programming.
Reservations must be made at least a week in advance.
